Moonshine Post Elevates with Color Finishing for Central Bank’s Campaign

Collaboration in Real Time: Perfecting the Details

A Cinematic Vision: Alejandro Wilkins’s Story-First Approach

Some folks just slap on a LUT; but at Moonshine Post, color finishing means business.

For the Central Bank ad campaign, Emmy-nominated DP Alejandro Wilkins approached Moonshine Post with a crystal-clear vision: a vibrant Kentucky Wildcat blue palette to anchor the visuals.

With 16 years of experience across fiction, non-fiction, and commercial content, Wilkins brought a cinematic eye and deep technical expertise to the project, blending technology with a story-first approach.

Will Gehring, Moonshine’s Junior Colorist, worked closely with Wilkins to craft custom show LUTs, aligning every detail with the creative direction and building a solid foundation for the shoot.

Dynamic Refinement: Unlocking the Potential of the ALEXA 35

John Petersen (“JP”), Moonshine’s Senior Colorist, refined the visuals in post-production, leveraging the ALEXA 35’s dynamic range to enhance depth, balance tones, and bring the footage to life.

Real-time client sessions allowed for precise adjustments, ensuring that Wilkins’ vision and Central Bank’s brand identity were perfectly aligned.

“Great color grading isn’t about slapping on a LUT and calling it a day—it’s about revisiting and refining at every stage,” JP noted. “Alejandro’s clarity and talent made this project enjoyable. Each round of feedback sharpened the campaign’s identity, and that’s what made the final result stand out.”
