Moonshine Post’s Unstoppable Journey with “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon – The Return”

Moonshine Post Brings Post Production Expertise to "The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon - The Return"

A Familiar Collaboration with Industry Leaders

Moonshine Post is excited to continue its collaboration with the iconic The Walking Dead universe, working on Daryl Dixon: The Return with online editing, color grading, finishing, and re-recording mixing.

This marks Moonshine’s second collaboration with Post Producer Todd Trotter and Line Producer Carlos Huizar, having previously worked with them on The Walking Dead: The Return. The new show, with a format similar to The Talking Dead, presents a unique, introspective take on the franchise.

Expert Color Grading and Visual Atmosphere

Moonshine’s Senior Colorist, John Petersen (“JP”), expertly brought intensity and mood to the show.

JP’s meticulous color grading maintained the iconic Walking Dead look while introducing fresh visual elements, matching the darker, suspenseful tones of Daryl Dixon.

It was important to balance intensity with subtlety—creating a visual atmosphere that complements the character-driven storytelling. I’m proud of how we blended the mood of the series with our cutting-edge grading techniques to bring something fresh while respecting the legacy of the Walking Dead universe.
